How are our overnight rates determined?
Transparency is important to us!
"Far too expensive!" is something we often hear - which is why we want to create transparency about how our room rates are calculated. For smaller hotels, the base costs are often the same as for larger hotels - only we can't allocate them to many rooms, but rather to a few. This alone makes us expensive compared to larger hotels.
We only list the costs here that we are legally obligated to cover, or without which we would not be visible to guests at all:
| Protection against Legionella (laboratory and regular cleaning of water pipes): | 8 Euros per room night |
| Laundry | 8,50 Euros per room |
| Fees for bookings through third-party websites/providers | 20,40 - 32,50 Euros per room night |
| Online booking (on our website) | 4,32 Euros per room night |
| Accounting costs | 6,90 Euros per room |
| Energy, heating oil, water | 12 Euros per room night |
| property tax | 3,70 Euros per room night |
| Total |
63,82 - 75,92 Euro per room night |
In addition, there are costs for food, repairs, investments, personnel, etc.
We don't want to complain, but rather use this overview to make it clear that behind every price lies a service and that we don't want to rip anyone off. In larger hotels with twice the number of rooms, these costs are almost halved, which is why we, small hotels, petit hotels, are not comparable to other larger ones.
That's why we treat our guests with a very warm and individual approach. We can respond to requests and can even pick up guests who get stranded during a hike. And yes, it's a special kind of travel when you stay in small hotels.
Overnight stays in hotels like ours also contribute to greater sustainability. We're often part of the villages, maintaining social life with the people who live here and are part of the infrastructure in our small, charming towns. We employ local people, we buy locally, we employ local companies. We take on responsibility when necessary in the community and step in. We're right in the middle of things, and you can have a truly special experience.
Please help us small hotels, come to us, book directly, use our resources sustainably, and understand that the enchanting atmosphere doesn't come for free. :-) We can't and don't want to compete with larger hotels on price.
