Spanish - Language and Life

In cooperation with the language school Entrelenguas in Ronda we created a program for you, with which you can enjoy all the amenities of our house and improve your Spanish by at least one level in one week, far away from all the hustle and bustle. At Cartajima, no one will change languages to be polite, so you will be able to use what you have learned right away.

During this week we want to bring you closer to the rural Andalusia in all its facets. After the language lessons we offer you different activities on each learning day. We will go out with you into Spanish life away from the main tourist attractions.

No matter if you want to get to know our little village, the breathtaking city of Ronda, the breeding and care of the famous Iberico pigs including tasting or everything about the famous Chestnuts of the Alto Valle del Genal. 

We will hike in the nearby chestnut and cork oak forests and visit typical Spanish bars for a bite to eat. You will learn more about how to prepare tapas and get to know the best wines of the region.

For each date we will offer a tailored programme which suits the season you are staying with us. And if you book all three courses we will make sure that the activity of all three weeks will vary. 

All activities will fit in with and complement your language lessons. We will always have someone there to help you if you have any doubts. The courses will take place in our hotel, breakfast and dinner will be served here as well. During the breaks you can relax on our roof terrace or have a typical siesta.

• 7 x accommodation in a double room including breakfast, dinner and snacks (if we won‘t come by bares or restaurants during our excursions)
• 1 x wine tasting of Spanish wines from the region in our hotel
• one dinner as tapas evening
• language course (5 x 4 lessons) with language teachers from Entrelenguas (group size max. 12 people) - 4 days in Cartajima and one day in Ronda at Entrelenguas Language school (rooms are airconditioned ;-)) 
• Water and light snacks during language courses are provided
• 3 x hike to e.g. Juzcar with possible side trip to Los Riscos (approx. 10 km), Parauta, in the Sierra de las Nieves or to the Almola - Area or into the Chestnut Forests with local guidance
• 1 x excursion to Ronda including city tour
• 1 x walking tour through and around Cartajima
• packed lunches or picnics during excursions of the itinerary not crossing any villages with bars
• Transfers as part of the excursion program
• Hints for further hikes and excursions

• Pick up from Malaga airport or train station in Ronda
• Tour to a sustainable pig farm including jeep tour and tasting of the famous Jamón Iberico as well as different sausage specialties
• Car rental from / to Malaga from a reliable partner car rental company (price on request)
• Other excursion possibilities (bike tours, bird watching, ...) by arrangement - just ask ;-)
