When I learned that to live healthier for longer detoxification is vital and that the easy way to achieve that was a sauna, I went straight out and bought one.
As I have never been an aficionada of wet saunas, I was delighted to learn about dry ones.
We now have an infrared sauna on the top floor of the hotel on the rooftop terrace level so as you sit and detox and sweat you can enjoy gazing at the mountains.
An infrared sauna uses heat and light to help relax and detoxify the body. It creates heat in the body which makes you sweat and release stored toxins. Or reading.
There are a few caveats but for most people most of the time, the infrared sauna is nothing but beneficial.
You just have to follow a few simple rules:
♥ wear as little as you are comfortable with. Birthday suit is best. See below for privacy comment.
♥ stay inside for no more than 30 minutes at a time
♥ lie down or sit for at least 10 minutes after using the sauna
♥ drink plenty of water before, during, and after the sauna
♥ relax after a sauna session and enjoy the feeling!
There is a screen in front of the sauna so you cannot be seen by anybody. If you turn the key in the terrace door, you will be completely private.
In my mini-spa there is also a stationery bicycle, a rowing machine, yoga mats, pilates ball, Dyna bands … and your meditation under the midnight blue above will be perfect.
